In later years it would make its way across the Atlantic to the United States, and it’s now being offered for sale as a project car with its numbers-matching engine and transaxle included along with a slew of other parts.
The Porsche 356 is the car that put Porsche on the map, it was the company’s first mass-produced car, and it remained in production from 1948 until 1965 – an incredible 17 year run. This 1964 Porsche 356C is a Karmann-built coupe that was completed on January 17, 1964, and delivered new to Ben Pon’s of Rotterdam, Holland. The car was imported to the US prior to the current owner’s acquisition in 2022, and it was subsequently disassembled. The body has been stripped and refinished in Light Ivory, while the 1.6-liter flat-four, four-speed manual transaxle, suspension, and interior have been removed  to buy 1964 Porsche Coupe Project online and are included in the sale.
